Overview

Built by architect Yusuf Abdelki, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the biggest travel highlights of Abu Dhabi travel itinerary. The elegantly-designed mosque’s construction was finished in 2007 and is in the top 10 list of the biggest mosques of the world. Sheikh Zayed Mosque's innovative design is an amalgam of Islamic building styles from Turkey and North Africa. It has over 1,000 columns, four minarets, and 82 domes. Spread across a massive 17,000 square meters, its main prayer hall can hold up to 41,000 worshippers on special days.
