Overview

Situated about 9 miles eastward of Antalya, lies the ancient and ruined city of Perge also known as the City of Sculptures. Founded in 1209 BC, it is a piece of lost history and today you can see its importance as it was consistently one of the main settlements of many previous civilizations. Now, visitors go there to be enchanted by the city’s former grandeur and see its ancient buildings such as the Roman theater and the Nymphaeum.
