Known for its unique Andalusian and traditional Islamic architecture, Koutoubia Mosque is one of the most fascinating travel destinations in all of Morocco. It was built in 1147 by the famous Muslim architect Yaqub al Mansur, whose exquisite work can still be seen in the structure of the building, giving it the unique look that so many travelers come to admire. The mosque’s most famous part is the huge 243 ft-long Minaret, whose elegance and tall structure can be seen from anywhere in Marrakech.
