The resting place of the close aide to the founder of the Ottoman Empire Osman, Sheikh Edebali‘s tomb occupies a special place in the hearts of residents of Bursa and all of Turkey. Rebuilt in the 19th century, the fairly simple yet elegant building is a popular site both for religious and travel purposes, with travelers coming from far away to pay their respects to one of the most prominent religious figures of the then-nascent Ottoman Empire.
