Overview

Despite being left unfinished, Hassan Tower in Rabat still occupies a special place in the citizens' hearts and is one of the prominent landmarks of the city. The tower was initially built as a part of a mosque on orders of Sultan al-Mansour in 1195 AD, but the work was stopped when the sultan died in 1199. Now it is a popular tourism destination as a result of its unique structure that was made with red sandstone and its fascinating architecture style that continues to attract travelers all over the world.
