Overview

One of the oldest and most significant archaeological sites in all of the world, Gobeklitepe Archaeological Site contains the remains of one of the first human settlements since prehistory. The remains of the settlements are estimated to be over 9000 years old from BC and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for containing evidence of humanity’s start. The site contains the remains of prehistoric human houses that were made with stones or mudbrick, remains of various stone pillars and other domestic structures.
