Göbeklitepe

One of the oldest and most significant archaeological sites in all of the world, Gobeklitepe Archaeological Site contains the remains of one of the first human settlements since prehistory. The remains of the settlements are estimated to be over 9000 years old from BC and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for containing evidence of humanity’s start. The site contains the remains of prehistoric human houses that were made with stones or mudbrick, remains of various stone pillars and other domestic structures.

Balıklıgöl

Also called the Pool of Sacred Fish in English, Balikigol is a historically significant and a famous religious landmark in Sanliurfa. The pool is part of a very large complex containing various places for worship, and lush breathtaking gardens with elegant pools. The complex is visited all year round with visitor numbers staying the same all year. For those visiting Sanliurfa, a visit to its most serene and relaxing place is a must for any traveler.

Urfa Castle

Fortified by the Muslim Abbasid Dynasty, Urfa Castle is one of the most heavily visited destinations in Urfa and an evidence of its historic importance and invulnerability. One of the key landmarks of the city, the ancient site also contains the remains of a destroyed Roman religious site in the form of two gigantic columns still standing. Rizvaniye Camii
