Edirne Palace
The famous Edirne Palace is a ruined historical landmark where the city’s history and the Ottoman’s architectural style can still be seen to this date. Built in the 1400’s, the castle was the residence of the Ottoman Sultans before the conquest of Istanbul. The central hub of the political matters of the empire at that time, the now-ruined castle is one of the most prominent historical landmarks of the city.

Eski Camii Edirne (old Mosque)
One of the symbols of the historic city of Edirne, Eski Camii is the first large mosque built by the Ottomans in Edirne during the 1400’s. It was built on the orders of Sulyeman Celebi, one of the Sultans during the Ottoman Interregnum. The historic Mosque is covered by 9 large domes and has an aesthetically-pleasing architectural style that attracts travelers and worshippers from all over the region. One of the top religious and tourism destinations in the city, visiting the Eski Camii in Edirne offers a valuable look into the architectural history of the Ottomans.
