Cesme Castle
Built to ward off attacks from the Venetians, Cesme Castle is one of the best-preserved structures in the whole of Turkey. It is one of the wonderful examples of Ottoman architecture, with the castle being built in 1508 AD. Aside from its past as a formidable fortress, the site is now a prime location for sightseeing, with the wonderful panoramic views of the Aegean Sea mesmerising travelers from all over the world.
