Anıtkabir
A site of unity and nationalistic identity, Anitkabir infuses a patriotic fervor in the Turkish people’s hearts. Called “grave monument” in Turkish, it is the resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The founder of Turkey’s remains were laid to rest in 1953 in the complex located in Ankara. The style of architecture in the monument is a nod to the previous cultures and identities of the people who lived in Anatolia.

Aqua Vega Aquarium
Known as one of Ankara’s most popular places, the Aqua Vega Aquarium houses diverse marine life to capture the hearts of both natives and tourists. Whether it’s the Koi fish, clown fish, or different kinds of sharks, the aquarium showcases the diversity and uniqueness of marine life in Turkey. The aquarium incorporates different kinds of features, such as a diving school, a museum for seashells, and a touch pool, all of which offer a memorable experience for anyone visiting the aquarium.

Ankara Castle
One of Ankara’s top historical sites showcasing its heritage, Ankara Castle is one of the best places to start a historical tour in Ankara. It was rebuilt in the 7th century by the Byzantines, over the ruins of an old fortress dating back to the 8th century BC under the Phyrgians. The castle has been kept in near perfect condition, with additions in the castle from different civilizations still visible today.
