Overview

A bustling city in Neolithic times, Ephesus's history can still be seen despite it being in ruin. The city was founded in the 10th century BC by Greek colonists. Located in the ruins lie the surviving pieces of the Temple of Artemis, one of the most magnificent Wonders of the Ancient World. Nowadays, it has become a popular tourist destination, with the city being located close to the town of Selcuk, Izmir Province.
