Al Attarine Madrasa
Overview
One of Fez’s most renowned landmarks, El Attarine Madrasa has been serving the city’s Islamic population for over 700 years. Built in the 14th century during the reign of the Marinid Dynasty, the madrasa is renowned for its religious importance as well as being an architectural wonder built by the Marinids. Its main highlights are the dazzling courtyard which features ornate walls supplemented with beautiful use of marble and tiles and traditional Moroccan architecture, combining to make a fascinating sight for all people to see.
