Day 1 – Arrival and Start of Cairo Tour

Begin your tour with breakfast at your hotel, then depart to begin your tour with a visit to the Cairo Citadel or the Salah-El-Din Citadel. The site was constructed in 1176 and contains so much history and is located in Islamic Cairo, part of Mokattam Hills. Then visit the Mosque of Mohammad Ali, an architectural wonder in itself, and was constructed in the middle part of the 18th Century. It was constructed in the splendid Ottoman architecture style and is one of the most famous historical sites of Cairo. Stop by for lunch at a restaurant nearby to take a break and enjoy traditional Egyptian meals. 

Then resume your tour, with a visit to the Egyptian Museum that contains over 150,000 monuments and architectural artifacts belonging to the era of Ancient Egypt. You can take some time there and explore as much as you like in the middle of the plethora of artifacts. Then visit the Cairo Tower in the evening, which offers some of the most striking views of the city, over the Nile River, the City Center, and much more. Transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 2 – Cairo Tour

Begin Day 2 of your Cairo tour with a visit to the old part of Cairo, starting with a visit to the fortress of Babylon, an impressive remnant of Roman rule, which was constructed in 100 AD by Emperor Trajan to protect shipping routes across the Nile River. Then visit the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest functioning bazaars in Cairo, built in 1300 AD. The bazaar is filled with amazing culture and hospitality, and you’ll find goods and people from all walks of life there in the bustling streets of the bazaar. Stop by for lunch in the market outside at your convenience. 

After lunch, resume your tour with a visit to the Gayer Anderson Museum, two houses that were purchased by a British Officer, and then turned into a museum. Then visit El Moez Street, a part of Old Cairo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, containing so much history. Transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 3 – Cairo Tour

Begin Day 3 with a visit to the ancient city of Memphis, built in 3100 BC by King Menes of Egypt which is located at least 20 km from Cairo. Visit the Open Air Museum containing artifacts such as the Sphinx and much more there. Then visit the Saqqara Step Pyramids, an archeological site that is one of the biggest sites. 

Take some time for a break, and then take a tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum containing a lot of history. Spend some time there and depart to visit the Pyramids of Giza, the most famous ancient site in Egypt. Then for the final attraction of the tour, take a look at the Magical Sphinx, one of the most unique attractions in Egypt, that has dazzled travelers for so long. Drive back to your hotel for an overnight stay. 

 

Day 4 – Departure

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel and then check out to drive to the airport. Then board your flight for a safe travel home.
